Thank you so much for the detailed salary calculation. I was initially happy that I was getting more in Malaysia than in India but then I realized that there is also the Gratuity and Provident Fund Component that goes into the CTC where the amount PF component doubles as the employer also contributes the same amount and it sit there with EPFO growing at 8-9% per annum. That being said, I figured that although the monthly salary figure which I was getting in Malaysia is bigger than the monthly salary of India, if I actually factor in the savings from PF and Gratuity, the savings in India after all the taxes and Expenses deduction turns out to be Rs 20k more than that of Malaysia. That being said, let me assure you that both places let me save more than a lakh but for a 20k LESS salary, is it worth to move to Malaysia? That too for a contractual job? I know logically speaking, the answer is simple i.e. to just not go for the switch but my will/aspiration to work/live outside is hard to convince. What is your take on this?
